The School Day

Children are expected to be in their rooms by 8.45am, ready for school to begin at 8.50am.  Punctuality is important.

Morning Interval is at 10.30am to 10.50am

Lunch Time is at 12.30pm to 1.20pm

School closes at 3:00pm.  There is no early closing on ‘wet days’. 

Unless children are involved in an organised activity they must leave the school grounds by 3.10pm

No pupil may leave the school grounds between 8.30am and 3.00pm without prior contact from home via the school office.  Students who are required for appointments during the day must be collected by a Parent or Caregiver from the school office and be signed out.

For exemption from any part of the school programme (on medical grounds) such as sports or physical education, a note signed and dated by the parent or caregiver must be provided.

If your child is unwell and won’t be in at school for the day, please ensure you report their absence at your earliest convenience through either our Website, School App, by email to the class teacher and office@mri.school.nz or by phoning the office on 09 620 8508.  You can leave a voice message if you call outside our office hours.
